My how time flies

Welcome to June!

It isn't that May was a particularly slow month as far as the news goes, or slow as far as my thinking goes. It is simply that May was so very busy. You see, we usually get a spike in business about a month to a month and a half after Easter. All those cute little bunnies that everyone bought for Easter and were told "of course they are dwarf rabbits" have rather suddenly outgrown that little commercial pet store cage. Oh what to do.

So. conscientious bunny owners turn to the net, their friends, magazines, and other bunny owners for ideas on what to do about their bunny in their cramped little home. They hopefully find us and decide to keep their precious little fur ball who is no longer quite so small, but who can be happy in a properly sized bunny home like the Bunny Abode. No more small scale living for these bunnies...they're moving on up! To multiple level living that is.

Another sad side effect is that right about this time is when the child's interest in their new pet starts to wane. So, we are busy working with shelters and rescues that are suddenly inundated with adorable yet abandoned bunnies. It is a very busy time of year for bunnies, bunny supply manufacturers (like us), and bunny rescue groups alike. This is also the time of year that the weather begins to improve and bunny rescue groups start having their festivals, expos, adoption days, etc. So, we are busy making donations to these groups in an effort to help as many of the needy bunnies and bunny owners as we possibly can.

Listed here you will find bunny related events. If your organization will be holding any events throughout the year or if you know of any, please let us know so we can pass along the information. These bunnies (and their friends) need all the help they can get and you can help us get the word out!

June Bunny (and bunny friends) Events:
June 14th...Fancy Rat Show
June 14th...Colorado HRS Spring Fling
June 21st...House Rabbit Resource Network 15th Anniv. Bash
